Course Overview:
This 2 hour interactive course provides nurses with the training required to manage a blood and/or body fluid spill.
The course references the National Health and Medical Research Council, Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Infection in Healthcare, 2019.
It is consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, Standard 3: Preventing and Controlling Infections.
It is consistent with the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Standard 5. Organisation's service environment; and Standard 7: Human Resources.
