Improving Memory: 01. How Does Your Memory Work?

At one point or another, we’ve had our memory fail us. Whether it was a phone number that just wouldn’t stick, or walking into a room only to forget why we’ve entered it - it’s a common experience. But why does it happen? That’s what we’ll talk about this program. We’ll cover the science behind creating, storing, and recalling memories. We’ll define memory encoding and go through its various types. Lastly, we’ll cover how sensory input and emotions can impact your ability to form and recall memories.
