Course Description

We are all continuously providing feedback to ourselves. Typically internally, but occasionally vocally in an outburst, if circumstances are just right. If you start by looking inward and experimenting with some new techniques for self-reflection, you will have started your journey to improving your own skills and being more accountable. All feedback, especially negative feedback, is important. This is because this is the most effective way to develop and become more skilled and competent. But negative feedback is both hard to give and equally as hard to receive. This course will show you how to better communicate as you navigate through these difficult conversations and allow you to get the most out of these situations!

It is an invaluable skill to be able to self-reflect, look at your own actions, be able to assess how you could have handled a situation better and consider what you could do in the future in order to get the most out of situations or interactions. This course will equip you with the tools you require to take that “step back” and make decisions based on facts, not emotional responses. It will also give you the skills to be able to confidently and effectively deal with difficult conversations, including how to create a positive and optimistic outlook for someone who may be receiving negative feedback.

We need to be aware that, for many of us, the "feedback" we do offer ourselves is often critical and usually conveyed in ways we wouldn't tolerate if it were uttered out loud. This course will teach you how to be “kind” to yourself so that you don't damage your own self-esteem in your self-criticism and instead accept your “mistakes” and use these experiences to positively move forward and grow from. It is suitable for everybody working in a setting where personal connections and one's individuality are critical to the success of the company.

The goal of this course is to provide you with the knowledge and self-assurance you need to properly handle your own self-feedback and engage in challenging interactions. Enrol now to learn more!
