Course Description

This is module 7 of a nine-part series looking at dementia. In this module, we look at strategies for communicating effectively with people with dementia when their communicative functions have become compromised.  

This course has been mapped to the Aged Care Quality Standards.

In this course the following areas will be covered: 

  •       non-verbal communication

  •  active listening

  • verbal fragments

  • people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
