Cybersecurity Module 7: Protecting and Securing Your Data

Cybercriminals often take advantage of security gaps in the network hardware used to connect to outside networks, like the internet. There are ways to protect these networks from cyberthreats. This module introduces the three primary internet connection methods—wired, wireless, and satellite—and presents unique vulnerabilities that require specific security precautions. It also discusses antivirus, malware, and app protection for new employees during onboarding or as a refresher course for those without a cybersecurity background.
