Basic life support
This 2.5 hour interactive course is aimed at nurses, midwives and all healthcare workers, and provides participants with the most up to date basic life support techniques.
What you'll learn
- Recite and implement the initial steps of resuscitation, known as DRS ABCD.
- Describe the interventions required to manage each step of resuscitation including dangers, responsiveness, send for help, airway, breathing, CPR, and defibrillation.
- Highlight the similarities and differences between adult, child, and infant resuscitation.
- Describe what to do for conscious and unconscious individuals who are choking.
