Course Description

Course Overview:
Regular screening of visual acuity can help with the early detection of abnormalities and enhance the use of effective treatments such as eyeglasses and/or surgery. Primary health care providers, usually nurses, are responsible for initiating screening through the use of visual acuity assessments.

This course provides a step-by-step guide for nurses on the clinical indications, necessary equipment and the process for undertaking a visual acuity examination.
