Course Description
Asbestos remains present in many older buildings, structures, plant, and equipment, making asbestos awareness an important part of workplace safety. This course provides a practical introduction to recognising potential asbestos-containing materials, understanding the health risks associated with asbestos exposure, and following safe work practices to prevent disturbance. Learners will also explore the importance of planning work, consulting the Asbestos Register where applicable, and responding appropriately if asbestos is suspected or accidentally disturbed.
